Lacey Beginnings

I've got a good start on the Peacock Feathers Shawl and I am really enjoying it. In fact, I have a hard time tearing myself away when other things need to be accomplished.

wow mom! that looks awesome.... so delicate. (probably in stark contrast to your now hideously messy house? - just guessing) ;-)

The colour is perfect. I will have to do something as femine and glamorous as that someday. I love all the beautiful creativity that I see. I feel like a kid in a candy store...it's fun though and truly inspiring. It's amazing how little anything else matters around the house during our bursts of creativity too. Revel in creative summer bliss...

Well no Kris, I manage to get my "minimum daily 5" done (shower, make-up, beds made, laundry and dishes done) each day, its the meal planning and preparation that is going down the tube. It gets done, but it is no culinary delight. Exercise has not exactly been topping my list lately either. *sigh*

Oh gorgeous! What colour are you using? I love it.

I'm using Aegean Blue, which I see is temporarily out of stock at Fiddlesticks Knitting.

Wow, looks like an excellent beginning. Your yarn choice is excellent. So far all the ones done (that I have found anyway) have been done in a varigated yarn. I like it in that solid color.

I have some laceweight tencel, enough for a shawl, that I bought at a FiberFest. I tried several different patterns with no success and it has been shoved on the back burner. Some day it will become a SIMPLE shawl.

I have resolved to make all more intricate lace with solid colors. It just seems a waste of time to but all that effort into a pattern no one can really see.
