Aeolian Shawl Debut

Pattern: Aeolian Shawl by Elizabeth Freeman

Yarn: Alpaca with a Twist Fino purchased at Chilliwack Wool and Craft Shop.

The yarn was originally more of a blue-violet colour like grape drink, but I overdyed it with red and a small touch of black to get this colourway which I call "Black Cherry".

It's a little smaller than I expected, but I love it worn more as a shoulder shawl anyway.

  1. I love all the modeling pictures. It really does make a lovely shoulder shawl. I'm thinking those may be more wearable for me than the big shawls. This will definitely have to move up in my queue.

  6. reminds me when you are sitting outside and a beautiful butterfly pauses on a flower and you go 'ahhhhh'... You shawl gives me the same feeling. Just absolutely beautiful...the color is awesome, too. I was at 'Snail Spirals' and she did some weaved bookmarks in deep purple, too.... I'm loving that color in all projects right now
