Happy Easter!
Teeny little Bobby and Becky were off playing and didn't make it into the picture.
Hickory Dickory was too busy watching the time to get in on the portrait. He's counting down the minutes I have left until the turkey must be in the oven!
Morganna is also not present. She's busy doing sweater fittings and didn't get dressed in time, but still wishes you a very happy Easter.

FREE Ridged Lace Blanket Pattern
Free PDF of my Ridged Lace blanket pattern. download now
The original version was very tiny, for a 3" Dollzone baby doll, but I made this one a little larger, 8" square, by casting on 94sts and doing 3 additional repeats of the 11st Ridged Lace pattern. Done in Aunt Lydia's Bamboo Crochet (Size 10) and US 000, (1.5 mm) needles, it drapes beautifully and makes a nice size for the 4.75" Nappy Choo baby.
With alterations to the needle size and yarn thickness, a blanket of any size could be made, even for a full sized person, rather than a doll.

A Baby On the Move
When Pumpkin heard Penny scruffling about following her nap she asked Panalaya if she could get her up.
Pumpkin was hoping for a bit of a cuddle and baby-head-sniffing-time, but Penny had other ideas.
She was soon on the move.
Pumpkin realized that she might as well get the wee one dressed as Penny was just not content to stay snuggled in her new blankie.
There was a whole world out there waiting to be explored!

Penny Finally Has Her Blanket
It's a good thing SaraBeara2 provided my Nappy Choo with a quilt for her bed or it would have been a rather cold home coming. I've been so busy lately that little Penny has been home for almost 10 days and I'm only now finished the lace baby blanket I started for her quite some time ago!
Panalaya wasted no time swaddling the little foundling up in her new "receiving blanket".
Pumpkin and Gourd were anxious to meet the baby that was brought home while they were at Ban's Boutique.
Panalaya sure has her hands full now!

Pumpkin Brought Her Brother Home!
Pumpkin is back from "Ban's Boutique" and she's sporting a fresh new faceup, complete with freckles!
Pumpkin was kind enough to donate her sleeping faceplate so that Ban could open the eyes, give it a boyish faceup, and create a brother for Pumpkin.
Meet Gourd, Pumpkin's brother!
He seems to be a guy with a bit of an attitude!
Peanut is not too sure about this new guy ---
--- even if he is her best friend, Pumpkin's brother!
Gourd is not too sure he likes that timid little girly that keeps staring at him either!
Pumpkin will have to sit down with Gourd and have a talk with him about being nice to her friends.

Lucky Penny
Canada has discontinued the penny and I've been finding pennies that people have cast away feeling, I guess, that they are now worthless. I still like to think of them as "lucky", so I pick them up and take them home.
In honour of the penny, and on St. Patrick's Day, I name this little one, Lucky Penny.
Find a Penny, pick her up, all day long you'll have good luck!
The whole reason for having a special "Naming Day" was so that I would have an excuse to make a fancy christening/blessing style outfit. LOL
I made the whole outfit without a pattern, designing as I went. It took hours and hours -- well -- DAYS really!
By the time I took this last picture Penny was getting tired and was ready for bed.

SO Sleepy!
A baby's first outing, when they are passed from one adoring Auntie to another, fawned over and cooed to, jiggled and bounced, kissed and squeezed --- well, sometimes it can just be a little too much and leaves the poor baby feeling overwhelmed and exhausted!
Then they just need a little time away from it all, in their own quiet room with familiar surroundings, favourite toys, and a cuddly quilt.
But even then, if the day has been too stimulating, it is hard for the little one to settle and get the rest that she needs.
Well, at least she's not screaming and fussing --- yet.
(Does anyone else think that Soom should be selling sleeping faceplates for these Nappy Choo babies?!)

Baby Needs A Name
My new Nappy Choo baby needs a name and I could use your help.
I've been considering, Zofie, Sabrina, Kasia (pronounced like Asia), Jasmine, and Cassy. Other suggestions and any comments are very welcome!
And here she is without her hat, if the colour of her hair is any influence on your choice of names.
