As promised, I have the next pair of socks on the needles. Inspired by the wonderful
tiger striped yarn that my
daughter gave me for my birthday, I couldn't resist adding the suggestion of toes and claws to these socks.
Is 48 too old to be wearing socks with tiger toes?
Nawwwww!

Chuckle. Too funny! Love them!
Oh my word...that is absolutely too cute! What a link, too...like the zebra, too. Your daughters blog is very nice...looked like she has acquired your talent!
Too cool! And no, one is never too old for tiger toes. :-)
Absolutely not. You're never too old to "walk on the wild side."
Those are splendid!
I am 46 today, and one of my presents was a hand-made hat with kitty ears. I am not the right person to check with if 48's too old for tiger toes.
Wear them in good health!
How incredibly adorable!! Your creativity never fails to amaze me.
Awesome! How did you do it?
those are great!
no, it'snot! i still wear dragon t-shirts, you can wear paw socks!
Anyone *under* 48 years of age may just be too *young* to wear socks with tiger toes. ;-)
I LOVE them! You are so full of great ideas.
I love them too!!!
those are adorable...
Thanks everyone.
Jen, I just knit the toes in a plain natural colour and then duplicate stitches the toe "arches" and the claws.
The hardest part was finding something natural coloured. This is 6 ply yarn, not the usual fingering weight commonly used for socks.
Oh those toes and claws are just perfect....=) love'em. I'm actually knitting tonight on my 'mitts'.
Oh, those are wonderful!
