Those are as cute as the wearer. I intend to learn to use dpn's this year, but for knitting hats, I'm afraid of socks.
I don't use dpn's for circular knitting (except for shawls or doilies that start with 3 or 4 stitches in the middle). I use one long circular needle in the "Magic Loop" style.
