Dealing With Hurtful Criticism

Wonderful video by Marie Forleo on dealing with criticism.

The 4 Keys To Dealing With Criticism.

All my life I've had a hard time dealing with criticism. This video, and a pep talk by some supportive friends, have shown me that criticism is nothing more than one person's opinion.

Good advice.

Thank you Gene. At your recommendation I have added Brene Brown's book, "Daring Greatly" to my Amazon.ca wish list. Family is always asking for hints at this time of the year. ;)

I'm one of those people in my past that aimed to do correct so no criticism would be there. (that could be a whole OTHER issue!) I've since dropped that, too. I think someone that offers criticism usually seems to be a way of putting down the other person to make themselves feel good.

And the problem with trying to do "good" to avoid criticism, PJ is that what is "good" in one person's opinion is absolute trash in another's. So in the end all we can do is to please ourselves and let the negative Nellie's grumble.
