A Boy in a Dress

With each day that passes Pocca seems more and more like a boy. I've referred to him as such since the beginning. 

There have been some Pocca owners requesting a pattern for a dress though, so this little guy, being the good sport that he is, agreed to model the finished dress. He may end up with one more dress as I test knit the final pattern one more time for accuracy and clarity. After that though, he's really hoping for some more pants!

Busier Than It Seems

When I have these long lags between posts it must seem to my regular readers that I haven't been up to much lately. In actual fact it's usually the opposite --- I've been so busy that I haven't taken the time to post!

Lately I've been sewing a lot more than usual. I've not only sewn a pair of jeans and a corduroy and fleece vest for myself, (neither have been photographed yet), but I've been sewing a few things for my granddaughter's dolls as well.

These two high/lo dresses were not complicated to sew as there are few seams, but they had to be sewn by hand due to the nature of the slippery knit material and the very narrow 1/8" seams.

This second photo is just to show how well these "Frightfully Tall Monster High" dolls (17") fit on that couch I bought for the Minifees.

I've sewn a couple more outfits for these dolls but I'm saving them to give to the granddaughter's on Valentine's Day. I'll post pictures after the 14th.

PJ Bottoms

Overalls and traditionally styled jeans are a lot of work. I wanted something simpler to sew up to expand the wardrobe for the Realfees.

Simple pull-on pants were just the thing -- only I had to design the pattern myself and that took a bit of trial and error.

Knowing that I experimented first with a flannel rag. It became PJs because even the first effort didn't turn out too bad. Yay!

I've fiddled with the pattern a bit more and come up with an even better fit, which will debut when the Soso faceplate arrives all freshly "faceupped" from Ban's Boutique.
