Elmo Gets A Trimmin'

With the duplicate stitch done in Fun Fur, Elmo was looking a bit too furry.

Extra furry Elmo needs a trim

Okay....he was looking a LOT too furry.

Elmo needs a haircut

So I gave him a trimmin'.

Ahhhhh! Much better!

that is really sweet. I was wondering how you were going to manage the furriness of the fun fur. Did you use a beard and mustache trimmer? LOL.

I tried a hair trimmer CTJen, but the FunFur was too coarse. I ended up going over the whole thing with a comb and a pair of sharp scissors. It took a long time and got furry bits all over the place!

Isn't Elmo the happiest looking fellow! You did beautiful work as always Marlene. I haven't been doing any knitting at all for about a month. I do miss it once in a while and will get back to it once the holidays are over. I am starting to get the 'hang' of semi-woolen long draw spinning. Ruth told me how to make a rolag out of combed top. Yippee ...it actually works!

That is adorable! I keep waiting for Elmo to say something, he looks so alive. Well done!

P.S. I was hoping that you would try the double knitting first and let me know how it goes. (grin)
