Long Journey

This project is taking a while. It seems I've been spinning this merino/mohair blend forever!

POUNDS of the stuff!

I stay with one wheel spinning project at a time.

And prefer to tackle large batches of the same thing so that when I'm done I actually have enough for a large project, this time probably a sweater. It's an interesting looking yarn, generally a solid, but with subtle variations and a pretty sheen.

It is grogeousyarn. A lovely color. I use one wheel for spinning, the other for plying.

Wellllllll, I love blue, if ever you need a home for it... I'm sure I could take it off your hands/spindle thingy!

You know Monkia, when I re-read my post I as thinking that I worded that a bit oddly, making it sound like I was talking about using only one wheel at a time (I do, but that was not my point). What I meant was I stick to just one project on my wheel but I also have one project going on a spindle too. I don't skip around from project to project, but stay in there for the long haul doing the entire lot of fibre before I move on to something else.

When I go to spin-ins, Ozlorna, I always have someone come up to ooooh and awwww over the colour of this yarn. It really is admired by many. I like it but really prefer brighter, more intense colour. Still it is gorgeous and I will be using most of it for some large project of my own.

Pretty colour. I love it. Looks like lace weight... what will you make from it?

It's about a fingering/sock weight Nicole. I haven't made any final decisions but there will definitely be enough for a sweater.

I think the color is stunning!

It amazes me how talented and efficient you are. Everything I've been spinning or knitting has been on hold for 2 months while I read and cook and plant and tend seedlings. Which is all fun too. Your yarn is a beauty!
