Now Shannon Wants One!
I actually crocheted this hat for a friend's Secret Doll Person, but Shannon looks so pretty in it that I've immediately started on another, just for her.
I love these crocheted outfits you are making. The hats make me think of something from the '20s. Cloche style. Not sure about my spelling or if you get what I see but just love them.
Yes, dynnamae, the hats do represent the 1920's cloche style hat. In fact, the pattern I started with is the "Katrina Ribbon Cloche". It is available on Ravelry.
I've used a .75mm hook and size #30 crochet cotton and the basic idea from the pattern but then I've done some alterations to the size of the hat and the flare of the brim to have it fit and flatter my dolls.
I would consider it, cjbj, if someone else had a nicely fitting pattern for a felted hat that would fit her. I would imagine creating a felted hat to fit her would take an awful lot of experimenting and trial and error though. Felting can be such an iffy thing if you don't know the percentages that any given yarn is supposed to shrink.
beautiful and vintag"ie" - Bonnie and Clyde. I'm just getting back to ravelry after a long time - so happy to see you're still there doing great things.

Just wondering if you would ever make a felted hat for Shannon? I can picture her in one. She is so pretty.
