More hobbies (yes plural) are not something I need right now, but I'm about to start TWO more!

I've been searching for earrings of a very particular size and shape lately and haven't been able to find them in stores so I decided to learn to make them. I went into Sparkling Ideas, a local bead store, to sign up for an evening of instruction in wire wrapping. That class is in two weeks. While there I saw this beautiful polymer clay rose. Turns out there is a class for THAT too.

I would be so tempted to take both of those too. I am trying to avoid building more time consuming things into my days. I already don't have enough time.

I don't go around looking for new hobbies either Gene, but they seem to find me! In recent years I've learned not to mess with the erratic wanderings of Lady Creative Muse. She may seem fickle at times but in the end I've noticed that she seems to have a grand plan.

I have many, many hobbies, most of which are fibre related, but not all. In the past few years I've noticed them blending together. I'll add a touch of knitting to a woven project that I have sewn and embellished, for instance. That's one project blending four hobbies right there! Lady Creative Muse seems to know where she's going with all this before I do.

Melissa, (Pacagirl from the Saori forums), with weaving being incorporated into her multimedia artwork, likely feels the same way. Who knows, maybe you'll soon be adding handwoven fabrics to your quilts.
