Cute, cute, cute!

What have you been using for the sprinkles, and how did you apply them?

The multi-colored sprinkles on the chocolate hat are just a pastel, varigated, worsted weight yarn used single stranded and embroidered on using a straight stitch. I just went from spot to spot on the inside so there isn't multiple ends to sew in.

The sprinkles on the vanilla hat were done with brown sock yarn used doubled.

I knit the hat at a tighter gauge (22 sts = 4") and made the "icing" 1/2 an inch shorter. Looking at how the hats fit the little nieces...

November 7th entry, "Grandnieces in Cupcakes".

...I think I could have left the length as the pattern stated.
