Sorry about her hip trouble! Once we got a kitten one of those little bassinet beds and he never used it. We even covered it in catnip for the older cats. Not one of them ever used it. I guess animals like what they like and there is really no getting around that. Hugs to you and your pup. :)
She is using her new bed now Ruinwen, and looks to be really enjoying it. I think she was a little unsure about it because it was different than her old one.
I'm not positive that it's her hips that are bothering her, Ruinwen, but she is definitely experiencing pain somewhere. When she has a day that is a little more active than usual (a gangly, active puppy comes over and wants her to "play" sometimes), she can barely make it up the stairs the next day. Some of it is in her knees I think. She had quite the knee injury when she was an active young dog. She also had the same leg clipped by a car a few years ago.
